Texan BBQ Extravaganza
Southern comfort food seems to be everywhere right now, as is BurgerMary, Melbourne’s newest authority on all things Texan. She’s given the nod to Red River BBQ, a new Melbourne catering outfit whose ethos is “low and slow”. They’ll be displaying their wares at St Ali for some “Don’t Mess with Texas” BBQ dinners, paired with some fabulous fitting beverages.
Thursday 29th March and Thursday 19th April – St Ali, 12-18 Yarra Place, South Melbourne
Dinner only tix $76.00, or buy the drinks package for $106.

Still looking for Food and Wine Fest ideas?
How about a three hour masterclass with a couple of Melbourne masters? Max Allen is “the” go-to man for all things wine - I’m still devastated I can’t plug his fabulous Thursday night wine tasting course because he doesn’t seem to have had the time to run any for a little while. Richard Cornish is a respected food writer, and collaborator with Frank Camorra on the Mo Vida cookbooks. Together they’ll be teaching people how to fine-tune their noses and trust their tongues in a workshop aimed at getting maximum pleasure from your own palate. Luscious wines, Spanish jamon and stinky cheeses a’plenty!
Taste 101: A Master Class in Flavour
6 – 8 March from 6pm – 9pm at William Angliss Institute, City.
