Man hug

All you men out there listen up. It's ok to have a little cry, wrap your arms around your mate and share your emotions with your male peers. That's the advice from men's health expert Dr Ryan McKelley from the University of Wisconsin, who's currently in Melbourne to speak at the International Congress of Applied Psychology.

Dr McKelley pointed out to Ross and John this morning that soccer players often tear up and embrace their teammates, so why can't men in regular society do likewise?

He also said that "social isolation is a better predictor of heart disease than smoking", which prompted Ross to conjure up images of a manly Clint Eastwood-type, riding lonesome through the Wild West. Could that type of man be at risk of dying from heart disease? Clint also smoked cigars. So his ticker would be double-stuffed.
