  • I'm from Melbourne, currently living in Seattle.
They have what sounds exactly like " Myki " but here its called " ORCA " ( stands for One Regional Card for All "

Reload / top it up at stores or online, register card online to protect balance, touch on upon boarding, touch off when departing and so on. You use it on light rail, buses, trains, ferries and such. So why does Melbourne have so much trouble with this ? I have never heard of any trouble whatsoever in Seattle with this system. I use it and its so easy, its awsome, incredibly convenient.

Tell the Metro Transit Authority in Melbourne or whomever is in charge........look at Seattle. www.orcacard.com

Transport system is huge over here with the city and the waterfront and all. Its a city very much like Melbourne.

  • Costky launched myki today to meet her end of year deadline, and save her job. I applied immediately online, but still have to wait 7 days to get my card. So, she's launched a system, but no-one can use it, for another week... what a joke. I guess she can relax on holiday now!
