Burnso is right, iron the yolk first. Also the ironing board has two ends, a pointy end and square end. I beleive the pointy end assists with ironing the yolk (slip the sleeve over the pointy end) and the square end assists the front and back of the shirt.

i think john did a very good job not quite how i would have done it but he tried like most men wouldnt.except my hubby of 34 years who helps with house work,feeding horses and dogs and cockatiels and irons and does lawns and works on cars and helps his kids where he can and works as well and helps with tea if i need it and stacks dish washer and vaccums on weekend and he reads,i have the bvest man ever,and he's good at everything else if you know what i mean

Burnso - terrible job. But you are right about ironing the yolk.

My 30th birthday present to myself was to outsource my ironing to the dry cleaner! Haven't ironed a thing in 13 years!
