A 'liquid lunch' leads to a late Rumour File on Friday?

At a luncheon supporting the Children's Protection Society on August 20, attended by luminaries from the political, football and media spheres, each table was asked to provide a rumour they believe to be true.

One of the rumours suggests Scott Pendlebury of Collingwood will head to the Gold Coast for the ca$h with Gary Ablett staying in Geelong.

The Pendlebury aspect is wide of the mark unless it happens at the end of 2001 (when the star midfielder is contracted with the Pies until) but the Ablett one...
