Barry Hall: Should he be sacked?

Posted by: 3AW Football | 29 June, 2009 - 8:31 AM

ABOVE: 3AW Football's Rex Hunt, David King and Nathan Buckley discuss Barry Hall's left-hook on Adelaide defender Ben Rutten.

Neil Mitchell also speaks to Swans legend Bob Skilton and Ron Barassi regarding the future of Hall - who is arguably causing more problems for coach Paul Roos than he is adding benefit to a struggling Swans side.

Skilton and Barassi on Hall

Sydney lost to Adelaide after making a good start, with Hall one of his team's best players with four goals.

Should Barry Hall be sacked?

  • Ken's right. The man in front and going for the ball should always get the umpiring decision. Sadly for Barry, the umpires have been swayed by the media and so now Barry's career appears all but over. Good luck for the future Baz!

  • If the umpires gave Hall a fair go maybe he could control his anger.

  • G'day Guys,
My guess is that Roo's will do his usual act towards the media. Say it's not good enough, then when Hall serves his time shuffle him back into the team. How many warnings, suspentions and therapy sessions does one need? He must know within himself that he can not control his anger.

Not a good look to kids Barry

  • On the minus side, it is disappointing side that Barry Hall is unable to contain himself when he is subjected to the harassment and niggling that all key forwards are subjected to, particularly, himself because of his past history.

On the plus side, he does not resort to the snide, underhand tactics of his opponents but steps up to the mark in the good old australian tradition of openly confronting his antagonists.

  • Barry Hall is just a joke and a thug. He should NOT be allowed to continue to play football. He does not set a good example of all those young children out there playing the game. The AFL should do something about it instead of just sitting back and reaping in their enormous salaries.

    Cheers

  • Barry Hall is behaving like a spoilt child - chucking tabtrums when things don't go his way.

He's proven that he doesn't have the mental game to continue playing afl.

He's twice as big as most blokes out there and behaves like the school bully - Moronic, insecure, violent, and petulant.

Bye, Baz. Good luck in your new career as a bouncer in the cross, genius!
