Brian Taylor joins 3AW Football
3AW Radio has confirmed Australia's most popular football caller Brian Taylor will be joining 3AW Football starting next season.
3AW General Manager Shane Healy says Taylor has taken the mantle for the past three seasons as the most popular radio football caller in the Herald Sun's annual survey and is ready to follow in the considerable footsteps of Norman Banks, Harry Beitzel and Rex Hunt who each enjoyed 20-year careers in Australia's top football calling job.
Healy paid tribute to Rex Hunt saying: "He has been a great asset for 3AW as a fine caller and entertaining character and we are disappointed he has chose not to finish his career here at 3AW."
"We respect, however, his decision and wish him all the best."
Rex Hunt will talk to Neil Mitchell for his last spot this Friday morning and will host his final fishing program this Friday evening at 7pm.

Shane Healy you have made the wrong decision to sack Rex Hunt. And how could you hire Brian Taylor and Tim Lane to the call as BT gets too carried away with himself and Tim Lane is too old and outdated and is an old dinosaur and one word boring to listen to and how could you replace Rex Hunt because of his age considering Lane is also just about the same age as Rex.This is a pathetic gutless spineless decision made by 3aw and I will never listen to you ever again!.And by the way MMM and SEN arnt much better so im now turning off my radio forever!.

Gaining the best football caller in the country? You've got your wires crossed 3aw. You've lost the best football caller in the country, and that's who I'm going to be listening to next year.

I'll be switching to MMMM. This is a disastrous decision by 3AW management.
