Caro backs her Ben Cousins story
ABOVE: Caroline Wilson speaks to Sports Today's Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell about her Ben Cousins story and Richmond Football Club.
YESTERDAY: Ben Cousins underwent further tests at the Epworth Hospital this morning before being discharged at 11am.
The results of these tests may not be known for several days but the club will provide an update as soon as one is available.
At this stage it is expected that Ben will return to training in the next few days.
In response to media speculation raised today, the Richmond Football Club confirms that Ben Cousins has never been spoken to individually with regards to binge drinking.
The club is extremely proactive in educating players around what is considered responsible and appropriate behaviour, and all players, as part of their development, are involved in regular education sessions.

The issue is not whether Ben has been drinking or not. The real issue is that Carro elects to enhance her own reputation and career at the expense of a 'reforming' drug addict who by his actions on the field in the last season and a bit has proven he is on the right track. Who cares if he got drunk (and more to the point who knows!), he is off the other stuff and he is playing footy. Not your best effort Carro.

Has anyone ever noticed how defensive Gerard gets when a Cousins story rears its head?
Perhaps he is annoyed that 'Whispers' didn't give him the scoop first... or perhaps he did and it was suppressed.
Anyway, who really cares if Ben is indulging in a little alcohol, provided he is not causing himself serious damage.

Let's be fair to a man who has openly had to admit his struggles. Others are just more secretive. He has replaced one kind of drug with another - alcohol - the legal one. Ben needs lots of help to cope with whatever memory it is he is trying to kill or cope with. Let's wish a talented man well and hope that those close to him will give him all the help and professional support he needs in his struggle to come to terms with his own life as it was and as it is. Liver damage can be turned around with the right diet and being drug and alcohol free -a tough call apparently. But if he can be convinced it is worth the effort then he will be OK for life if he wants to be.

hospital with Liver damage.it wall all come out in the fullness of time.
