Chris Judd steps down from Blues captaincy
Carlton's Chris Judd has confirmed he will relinquish his role as the Blues captain as well as stepping aside from the leadership group next year.
Judd has been captaining the Blues since he joined from West Coat in 2008, but said he felt with a new coach now was the 'right time for a fresh start at the club'.
HAVE YOUR SAY: Who should be the next Blues captain?
“It has been a tremendous privilege to Captain this footy club and I have thoroughly enjoyed the past five years,” Chris Judd said in a statement.
“At this stage of my career, I am looking forward to getting back to enjoying the essence of footy and not having as much responsibility around the Club as I have had in previous years."
A new skipper is expected to be announced in February, with Marc Murphy and Andrew Carrazzo considered the front-runners.

Andrew Carrazzo is my pick as captain. Murph is probably favourite but it would be better if he is given the vice captaincy and groomed for the captaincy. He will learn a lot from Andrew.
