Fevola in trouble again
Brisbane Lions full forward Brendan Fevola may have played his last AFL game after the club today suspended him indefinitely for alleged indecent exposure.
An angry club chairman Angus Johnson and Lions chief executive Michael Bowers fronted the media this afternoon, saying the club was treating allegations the star forward exposed himself to a woman in a suburban park "extremely seriously.
The alleged incident took place on Saturday in a park in Wakerley, in Brisbane’s bayside suburbs.
A man contacted the club to complain about Fevola’s behaviour towards his wife when the couple and two of their children were at a third-party function. A number of other Lions players were present but the club says they have no knowledge of the event.
The club today said the family had also notified Queensland police, however a police spokeswoman said a formal complaint had not been lodged.

Fevola has been banned from attending tomorrow night’s club best-and-fairest awards and, if the allegations are true, it would appear his short tenure at the Lions is over.
"This club will be taking action. This is more than just a football matter for this club," Johnson said today.
Fevola and his management spoke to the Lions earlier this afternoon, while Bowers has also been in contact with the family of the alleged victim. He said he fully supported the family's decision to involve police.
“Respect and responsibility towards women is non-negotiable. The club will co-operate fully with the AFL and any Queensland police investigation,” Bowers said.
“Considering the nature of this incident, the club will wait until any investigations are complete before taking any further action.”
He said his main concern was for the people involved in the alleged incident.
"I’ve contacted that family and had a number of discussions with that family,” Bowers said.
“Members and supporters of the Lions should be made aware we’ve acted appropriately.”

The latest incident worsens a bad week for the Lions. Yesterday, best-and-fairest favourite Michael Rischitelli told the club he had accepted an offer from the Gold Coast Suns.
Brisbane, under salary-cap pressure, is believed to be paying Fevola more than $700,000 a year on a contract with two years to run. The Lions are believed to have asked senior players, including Brownlow Medallist Simon Black, to accept pay cuts.
Fevola, 29, has never been far from controversy, including his drunken antics at the 2009 Brownlow Medal, which led to Carlton sacking him.
Soon after joining Brisbane, Fevola was accused of circulating a nude photo of former lover Lara Bingle, but the club stood by him when no proof could be found of any wrongdoing on his behalf.
Fevola then announced he had gambling problems.
Brisbane has recently urged Fevola to stay in Brisbane for extended treatment after surgery on his badly damaged groin, expected to take up to sixteeen weeks. Fevola wanted to stay in Melbourne to be with his estranged wife, Alex, and their children.
He was criticised last month after he was seen entering a Melbourne nightclub at 7am.

FEV has a drug problem ladies and gentleman, so why aren't all the do gooders rushing to his aid? Oh, that's right, he isn't hansome,or sexy or shredded and he is only has a problem with alcohol.
Don't get me wrong, Fev is a tool and he is overdue for what is coming but geez, the hypocracy of some people is going to be sickening. Maybe a mini-series on his exploits will soothe peoples ire.....paddy Thursday 9 September, 2010 - 6:54 AM -

Do we know whether this is true, or is it just another Fev bashing session? Caroline Wilson never stops talking about him. This seems very unlikely to me.
