Kreuzer on 3AW: Big year
Carlton ruckman Matthew Kreuzer has re-signed with the club for a further two years, ensuring he will remain a Blue until at least the end of 2010.
"We are delighted that Matthew has committed to continuing his career with Carlton. He is an outstanding young man and has shown in his first two years in the AFL, where he has had an immediate impact at Carlton and in the competition, that he has a sensational career in front of him," said General Manager Football Operations, Steven Icke.
Kreuzer was Carlton’s first selection, number one overall, in the 2007 NAB AFL National Draft and won Carlton’s best first year player in 2008.
He has played every game since making his debut in round three, 2008, for a total of 43 matches and finished fifth in Carlton's best and fairest award last year.
Brett Ratten on Sports Today
Carlton coach Brett Ratten confirms with 3AW's Sports Today that the
club, from the top down, will address what is perceived from the
outside as a drinking culture within Blues ranks. He also talks about
the way his side will line up without 'The Fev'.
