Not much love for Akermanis on 3AW
It's been a couple of days since Jason Akermanis was sacked by the Western Bulldogs, and there's been plenty of opinions on the story since.
In the below media player, hear from Leigh Matthews - Aker's former coach - the man himself on The Footy Show, Brian Taylor and Tony Shaw, who revealed he told Aker in person to pull his head in a few weeks ago.
Akermanis was 'a bad egg'
VIDEO: Sports Today went to air hot on the heels of news Jason Akermanis had been sacked by the Western Bulldogs, and the boys directed some curly question at David Smorgon live on air.
Lethal opens up on Akermanis
3AW's Leigh Matthews says 'bottom line, this is the second club in four years that have turfed him mid-season. Now, you only do that if you really think we gotta get him out of the place'. Listen to Lethal's say in full here.

Of course if a guy is being openly Gay in the rooms etc it's going to have an effect on others. The same if a woman was to be openly sexual in the rooms.
For sake get this PC rubbish out of the way before it ruins the best football game on the planet!!!!!!!!!Lethal I'm one of your biggest admirers, pull it in mate, speak the truth and protect the players like you once did on the ground.

Very sad for football (not to mention democracy). It just sends a message that footballers have become like pet puppies. So long as they sit, beg, roll over and stay on their short leashes, their owners (the clubs) will dish out the rewards. Nobody dare to go against the grain, have an opinion or speak your mind. And feel free to hit your partner, do drugs, lie, etc., but don't dare have a say about anything even slightly controversial. How sterile is the game becoming? And how brainwashed are these neanderthals? Grow some balls guys! And should Mathews be running anybody else down? Should he be looking at the skeletons in his own closet? And are these skeletong worse than simply having an opinion or being a bit too colourful?

Not much love for Akermanis on 3aw??
From what i am reading There is more than 80 % support for him.....
Seems he is well loved.
Not so positive for the AFL big boys and the bulldogs thoughCaz Sunday 25 July, 2010 - 11:13 AM -
Those commentators who argue that the public don't understand what it takes to run a football club certainly reflect the attitude of the current day clubs. They forget that the public are the reason they exist in the first place. The Bulldogs will want to do well in the finals!
