Terry Wallace 'not sacked'
Terry Wallace and Richmond have not parted company, despite speculative reports - including on 3AW - suggesting he would not coach the club again.
Wallace, who told 3AW's Sports Today last week he intended to stay on for the year, has endured a wretched run at the helm of the Tigers in season 2009.
After finishing ninth last year and securing the services of Brownlow Medalist Ben Cousins, Richmond was expected to make a strong push for finals this season.
But after winning just one match - against North Melbourne - so far, the Tigers appear far more likely of being wooden-spooners rather than contenders.
Making matters worse for the club, Cousins underwent surgey last night for a fracture in his hand and will miss at least one week having already missed five this year throug injury and star Matthew Richardson could be out for the year with a hamstring tear.
'Extraordinary' Cousins out again
Ben Cousins will be sidelined again after Richmond revealed he will
undergo minor surgery on Monday to repair a spiral fracture in the
metacarpal bone of his left hand.
Tredrea's heroics lift Port to win
Port Adelaide veteran Warren Tredrea took a towering mark and booted
his seventh goal with 30 seconds to go as the Power defeated Richmond
by three points in a thriller at AAMI Stadium.
No Marching orders for Plough
Richmond President Gary March has defended Tigers coach Terry Wallace
and had a crack at Eddie McGuire for introducing a Kevin Sheedy debate.
March told 3AW Football Eddie should look at Sheedy replacing Mick
Malthouse if he's such a fan of the axed Bombers coach. The Tiger boss
also slams journalist Damian Barrett for glaring factual errors in his
Tiger articles.
