One of the key cast of Channel Seven's Packed to the Rafters is believed to have been written out of the hugely successful show. 'Warney, who is Dave Rafter's buddy, won't be returning to annoy, work or play cricket with the great Aussie television family. The character was originally only supposed to appear in about three episodes but ended up in more than 20.

An early morning call for the next series of Channel Ten police drama Rush meant several stars couldn't stick around for the after-party drinks at the opening night of 'Men' starring Rush star Samuel Johnson. There was lotsa love in the 45 Downstairs theatre at Flinders Lane where amongst the crowd were Sigrid Thornton, Jane Clifton, Kimberley Davies, Alyce Platt, Catherine McClements, Kevin Harrington, Nicole D'Silva and Rodger Corser.

Former swim champ Michael Klim did a spot of reminiscing about his favourite toy while at the launch of toy craze Zhu Zhu pets at the Melbourne Museum. "I used to love my He-man and spend lots of time building Lego when I wasn’t outside playing sport," he said. The keen businessman is also thrilled his skincare range Milk is being stocked by Coles and Priceline.

It's a somewhat embarrassed Lindsay Lohan when one of the contestants in the new US series of Project Runway on Arena (Foxtel) declares his love for her as she sits in judgement of the designers. The sixth season is jam-packed with big name guests, including Eva Longoria and Christina Aguilera. Starts March 29th.

Following in the footsteps of Marc Jacobs, Versace and Toni Maticevski, Melbourne-based siblings Alex and Georgie Cleary are designing for dance through their boutique label Alpha60.

The Australian Ballet and Alpha60 collaboration has spawned a limited edition T-shirt which has an image of a Parisian businessman walking along the street, wearing pointe shoes, tailored suit and a tutu. Tres cool.

Nathalie Bassingthwaite will be showing off her baby bump at the fancy launch party for the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival at Government House this Sunday. The pristine lawns host about 500 VIPs who enjoy cucumber sandwiches while getting the latest fashion tips.

And it's party time for Feathers founder and designer Margaret Porritt who isn't afraid to share with the world that she's turned 70. The fashion icon has invited the likes of Felicity Kennett, Patti Newton and designer Adele Palmer to share a  piece of cake and check out her Autumn Winter Collection.

Congratulations to The Cove, a gripping and shocking documentary about the Dolphin hunters of Taiji in Japan, which took out the Academy Award for Best Documentary.

Charity of the week: A silent auction and donation from ticket sales at this week's Nick Jr's 'Dora the Explorer Live!' show at the Arts Centre will help Camp Quality kids. The creator of Dora the Explorer, Chris Gifford, has travelled from the US to for the special charity performance of The Search for the City of Lost Toys on Thursday. The national tour also celebrates ten years of Dora.
