Hinch has a win in court
3AW broadcaster Derryn Hinch has had a win in his bid to be cleared of charges he breached two suppression orders.
Hinch will have his case heard by the High Court.
The High Court has agreed to hear the case against Derryn Hinch, who's charged over naming two sex offenders at a public rally in breach of two suppression orders.
The matter was due to be heard in the Magistrates Court but the broadcaster's lawyer argued while the facts of the case were not in dispute but the law is unconstitutional.
Outside court Hinch said the case should not be about him but the law he's charged with breaking.

"Got your day in Court" I now hope that the powers to be can see what has gone so terribly wrong with those suppression orders, it has still got me puzzled that others have not been able to see it, or maybe they haven't wanted to see it!Good Luck my Friend

@Janet and Justin. If it was an indigenous Australian or someone from the Middle East who refused to obey one of our laws you'd be burning crosses, calling for deportation and posting here under a variety of pseudonyms expressing your outrage. Because it's a former New Zealander with a too easily won Australia citizenship certificate makes no difference. You come to out country you obey our laws or take the next plane out.

I think that the Magistrates and Judges suppressing the names of these monsters have made a mockery of the law.
