Neil Mitchell - Hogan's lawyer bemused by the order

UPDATE: Holding Paul Hogan in Australia over allegations of an unpaid tax bill has been described as unbelievable by his lawyer.

Hogan is prevented from leaving the country by the ATO and his lawyer Andrew Robinson says he can't understand why it's being used in this circumstance.

Mr Robinson told Neil Mitchell they've been attempting to resolve the dispute for some time.

REPORT: The Australian Tax Office is refusing to comment on its decision to issue a departure prohibition order on Paul Hogan.

The Crocodile Dundee star is reportedly stunned and disappointed at the decision to stop him returning home to the US to be with his family.

Hogan returned to Sydney last week to attend his mother's funeral.

The ATO has served him with a departure prohibition order over an alleged multi-million dollar unpaid tax bill.

His lawyer says he is devastated and denies the claims levelled by the Tax Office.

  • The 'hounds of hell' want Hoges fortune of some $150,000,000...?
They'll certainly need it to cover Gillard's daily $100,000,000 waste/blowout by her no-good 'Lemon Party'.
Stuck in a real rut is our taxman!
Thinks Hoges will cover the government's ass for at least a day and a half...?
Indeed another 'SHAM' and 'Ranga's rort'...!!!

  • I need the contact details for Andrew Robinson, Hogans'legal representitive as I have a very simple and legal mechanism whereby Mr Hogan can avoid any current claim upon him by the A.T.O. I am most serious and personally seek no notoriety whatsoever. Please can someone help me obtain the contact details I seek. Many thanks. Adam.

  • Funny how the ATO refuses to talk yet there seems to be leaks to the media all the time. The HS reported recently the ATO issued an assessment on Hogan. Who told them Hogan or the ATO?

  • There IS an upside to this. While Hoges is stuck here he can make sequels to Lightning Jack, Strange Bedfellows or a 4th Crocodile Dundee film.
