REPORT: A woman in Deniliquin has contacted the media to voice her concern over the Herald Sun using the wrong photograph in today's paper purporting to be of Elmer Crawford's murdered family.

Jennifer has phoned Neil Mitchell to say the above image is of her and her three children.

The caption in the paper says: "US Driver's license photo of the dead man police believe is killer Elmer Crawford (above). Police released an image in 2008 (right) of how Crawford might have looked years after the 1970 crime. The family car (below) he pushed off a cliff. Inside were the bodeis of his wife and children (right).

Jennifer claims she will receive an apology from the Herald Sun, but more importantly, she told Neil Mitchell the revelation Crawford died in the US in 2005 will provide her with closure on a shocking chapter in her life.

She was a close friend with Theresa Crawford and in her interview with 3AW (playing now) she reveals what she remembers about one of Victoria's worst-ever mass murders.

  • Jennifer is understandably upset that her photo was mistakenly shown in the Herald Sun, but mistakes happen...

Yesterday this website published a photo of Christine Nixon with an article reporting Ricky Nixon being taken to hospital.
