iPhone 4 hits Australia

Posted by: 3AW Radio | 30 July, 2010 - 6:59 AM

Thousands of eager shoppers are flocking to dozens of phone shops around Australia, to buy the new iPhone 4.

The new device went on sale at some outlets at midnight.

'Sean' has been queuing all night outside the Apple Store at Doncaster.

Stock of the new iPhone 4 are beginning to dwindle despite it going on sale just this morning.

Each Telco recieved only 12-13 thousand new iPhone's in their first delivery, with Optus alone reporting 100 thousand pre-orders.

Thousands queued through the night to get the new gadget despite widely reported problems with it's anntenna.

  • @mark,
Do any of these stupid commenters realise it's far more than just a telephone?

Seriously though, Mark is obviously not aware that people are queuing for several reasons:

There are shortages of the iPhone 4 all over the world singly could be waiting weeks to get one.

People queue for the experience. Many are Apple or iPhone fans who enjoy meeting and sharing with other fans. (not that I've queued myself). :-)

  • Do any of these stupid people realise it's just a telephone? Why not just wait until next week? Brains are just mush.
