Jim Stynes fights cancer: Tributes
ABOVE: In a special opening to Sports Today on July 2, Gerard Healy pays tribute to his mate Jim Stynes - listening in. Leave your message of support to Jim below and we will make sure he gets them.
Two weeks ago: Jim Stynes, 43, has revealed he has cancer which has spread throughout his body.
But contrary to reports, he has not stood down as president of the Melbourne Football Club this afternoon, rather deciding to take the rest of the year off while he focuses on getting his health in order.
Vice President Don McLardy will fill in in his absence.
Stynes broke the news in front of a packed media contingent at the MCG, breaking down as he recounted how advanced the cancer was and what it meant for his family.
He said he had discovered a lump in his back three weeks ago and when it was removed and tested was revealed to be cancerous. Further tests revealed the cancer had spread.
Leave your tibute below and we will compile them and send them through to Jim.

Jim...back in the good old days when we played in the band Factor One in Dublin we had a laugh and you had a notion that you would write songs. The Jim Stynes I know is a very deep person with a thirst for challenge in everything. That is why in the past I have enjoyed his company.hope we can meet again soon,
A big hug and lots of good wishes from me and Cathy x

Jim Stynes was so inspirational last night at the B&F at Crown. He turned the night into an incredible tribute to all you have made Melbourne what it is today. The acting pres got it right on the head when he reminded everyone that the Members are the Melbourne Football Club as well, the members are the ones who wear the red and blue for life. We don't leave our Club! Together with our brilliant President, forward we march to triump all ahead!
