Julia Gillard boosts Labor in poll
Both the Federal Government and Opposition are playing down the latest opinion poll results which show the switch to Julia Gillard has revived Labor's hopes.
Today's Newspoll shows the government holds a 6-point lead over the Coalition and voters prefer Ms Gillard over Tony Abbott as Prime Minister.
The Opposition says Labor is going through a honeymoon period.
Speaking from Toronto where he's attended the G-20 Summit, Treasurer Wayne Swan predictably said he's not interested in polls.
