Les Twentyman's remarkable story
ABOVE: Les Twentyman very nearly died as a result of complications relating to lap-band surgery.
In his first studio interview since the news shocked Melbourne, Twentyman talks about how the experience has affected him and whether his focus on the plight of those less fortunate has wavered.
A great interview - which includes 'Father Bob' calling in.
Leave a message of support for Les below.

Thanks Les for being an inspiration to people like me who work with kids at risk but know the rewards we get from working with young people. You are amazing and others like me in thevteaching and community fields can only aspire to your level of caring and motivation.
I am so glad to see u on the tv appearing so well after such a shocking health struggle. Congratulations on being a fabulous Australian with the real Australian culture of always giving and putting others first! You are the best role model thanks again!!! Thanks for caring about the young people living in horrendous conditions at home and on the streets.
If only parents could all be nice caring people it would make your job much easier but unfortunately there a far too many unfit to be parents around and I dont think it is getting any better out there ! Look after yourself we all admire and respect you.Eleanor Monday 22 June, 2009 - 5:59 PM
