The Ben Cousins documentary was watched by almost two million viewers nationally on Wednesday night.

The first part of the two-part documentary attracted 1.99 million viewers in the five mainland capitals.

Only Seven's Packed to the Rafters and Ten's MasterChef command audiences of that size, Fairfax reports.

The largest slice of that audience - 781,000 people - was in Melbourne while 355,000 people watched the controversial program in Sydney.

  • I think most people have it wrong and I'm kind of happy about that because it means that they don't know what a drug addict is really like. From what I've seen Ben Cousins is like any other addict I've been around, he beleive that it worked until it didn't.
I don't think this is an AFL or a celebrity culture this is a fact and something that more people should see. Drug addicts can function like a lot of people but mostly in the end they fall apart and take those who care about them with them.
Sorry to Ben's family but I don't think he will make it, I saw someone who is still addicted and until he hits bottom he won't want to recover.

  • I heard that Ben Cousins has been signed by Disney to do a live musical show based on the documentary.

They are calling it: BEN COUSINS - ON ICE!

  • SPicks and Specks was far more entertaining and then The Gruen Transfer gave , as usual, an more interesting insight into the human personality as opposed to the usual story of 'pressure made me do it'. I love Ben Cousins as a player but think this is really not the right time for him to be airing this..He still needs help and support, not more publicity and public debate
