Neil will play some of the audio shortly.

  • Any human being can reach the rage levels if their buttons are consistenlty pushed. If this woman knows his weakness and sets him up to the rage level, then I can understand his behavior. Sometimes the aggressor is actualy the victim. Mel is a great actor and we should just love him for his performance. His personal life is up to him

  • Those of you who think things said in private should be kept so, if you are women, think again. Does this mean you do not have the right to reach out for help against violence and abuse? Is this what you want to teach your childen, especially your girls? Men, I can understand why you object. One of many men's unfair claims on power is bullying. Of course not all men, but those who have worked at getting this happening will not like it being exposed and discussed. Those of you who don't do this, why do you object? Should a person who is being unfairly treated just have to wear it? That's the result unless it is revealed publicly. The police cannot stop it unless there is a proven crime, so there is little they can do. Family psychological assault is common and revealing it is the only way to reaching debate, then cure, I believe

  • Mel shows the ugly effects of alcohol damage personality change. Yes, he's over and needs to be shunned now. No one is safe from that kind of victimising if they get close once a person starts doing it.Therapy won't help because he will have self bias. He will still be able to use charisma with others. The child is a potential victim of this man too. I hope the family court has some sense this time, but they don't have a good record of doing so. They usually recommend that children spend time with their violent, racist parents. It's about political correctness, not the benefit of the child. Docs and the other parent can always be blamed for bad outcomes, I guess!

  • I am not apologising for Mel Gibson, but I am not judging him either. I don't know him and am not prepared to condemn him based on a journalists opinion or private tapes, scurrilously obtained through careful planning and manipulation. Other than that I agree with Mike.

  • Neil just sitting here and listening to your say on Mel, I have also just finished reading your profile it seems that you are a fantastic journalist and world wise, why then do you lower yourself to debate about peoples private issues I agree with jack Cook Sunday the 14th, some Russian gold digger who can't get her own way has now taped a argument between herself and ex and who knows what she said to him (as we can't hear that can we!!) to provoke the argument, and really is it any of our business no wonder this world has gone to the dogs. I think that there are more important things in this crazy mixed up world to be debating about. how would you like it as a world renown journalist to have your private debates, fights published by your angry wife ex, kids, whoever remember there is nothing worst than a females scorn. Are you that innocent and reserved that you have never been pushed into or even just made a comment that you shouldn't have?

  • I think most people would change their views if they new it was a private conversation, the media should report this fact, it makes all the difference to the arguement.
