  • Ashton was high up at the OPI which was criticised daily by the Libs. They now sign off on his appointment as the man in charge of all crime squads in Victoria. Call me confused....

  • I find the actions of CCP Victoria Police Simon Overland abhorent in installing Graeme ASHTON, a non-sworn memeber of victoria Police, into the position of Assistant Commissioner(Crime) Victoria Police. ASHTON, who is a best mate of Overland from their days at Australian Federal Police. So much encouragement by Overland to the up-and-coming senior Police officers within Victoria Police. But then.. the Vic Govt approved the appointment.

  • Neil,
I can answer your questions about the time difference in Smart Meter Installations.

    1) Ther are two main types of Electric Meters. Single Phase and Three Phase.

    2) There are several configuration of Home Installations. For example.
    - Simple Home (1 Meter)
    - Home with Solar Power (1 to 2 Meters)
    - Home With Solar Power, (Several Meters) Pool Pumps, with Single and thre phase power (for garages), Off Peak Water Heating.

    3) A simple house, with 1 single phase meter, can be done in less than 15 minutes.

    4) A complex house installation with multiple meters, can take at least an hour.

    5) Depending on the layout of the electrical board, re-routing of wiring may be required, which takes time.

    6) Simple meter board layout, single meter house, requires removing 4 mounting screws, and 2 wires in to the meter, and 2 wires out of the meter. Thus a total of 8 screws and 4 wires to be connected to install a simple meter. It can be done in 5 minutes !!!

Fee free to ask any questions.
