UPDATE: Jason Akermanis denies claims that he named drug-using AFL players, but hints that his upcoming book will do so.

REPORT: The Police Chief has called on Jason Akermanis to come forward with the names of AFL players who are on drugs.

During a function in Mildura this month, Akermanis reportedly told the crowd he knew of three current players who had used illlicit drugs.

It's claimed he then named the players, to the guests at his table later during the event.

Simon Overland told Neil Mitchell Akermanis must now come forward with the names and the players will be investigated.

The revelations come just a day after former West Coast Premiership player Chad Fletcher was arrested in Sydney for alledglly possesing Cocaine.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Overland says he won't be watching the Ben Cousins documentary amid claims it glamorises drug use.

The two-part program, which shows Cousins taking drugs, will screen tonight and tomorrow on Channel Seven.

Commissioner Overland says the program doesn't interest him.

If Overland is serious he should be demanding that the AFL open thier records. They are performing the drug testing and hiding those caught which is immoral if not contavening some law.

Now overtheland and co would want Aker to do THEIR job for them. As if they have no relation in clubs and no idea of how clubs are going. No wonder you could be stabbed in front of your own door and no one knows what's happening.
