  • This is just like the Superleague Fiasco.
It hurts the supporters and the game whilst mr Murdoch et al play king of the world!

The only way forward that is forward is complete tranparency in all the clubs re payments or it is just about who has and has not gotten caught.

Peter Maher is spot on, there needs to be independance, which clearly there is not!!

  • If the storm boycotted the rest of the season the storm would be finish , They will not exist any more in the nrl competition.

The storm would have been a 12 year club

    1998-2010

a new melbourne club would be formed next year

  • I hope they do boycott the remainder of the season. This will really stick it up Gallop & Co. The NRL has been on a path of self destruction for years. Its dying a slow and painful death. I'm been following the game for 29yrs and i've seen it go from leadership that was dodgy to new leadership thats more dodgy. Go for it Storm. Stuff Gallop. Why play when you can't even get a fair bloody go in the courts? What I don't understand is people saying the players had to know about the contracts. Thats all fine and well to say but look at this side of it. They are professional athletes. They put trust in their managers to do the right thing. Yes they signed 2 contracts but its not up to the players to ensure these new contracts are lodged with the NRL. They are not to blame. They aren't lawyers. No athlete in any sport needs a manager, they need lawyers.
