Texas 'baby-eater' charged with murder
Otty Sanchez's alleged murder of her infant son Scott Wesley Buchholtz-Sanchez - born on June 30 - has shocked not just her home-state Texas, but people around the world.
Local police say the mother used a knife and two swords to dismember her baby boy before eating parts of the body, including his brain. The woman also decapitated the child before turning a knife onto herself.
Investigators are describing the case as the worst they have ever come across.
Sanchez has been moved to a jail after recovering at a hospital in San Antonio from self-inflicted stab wounds and is being held on $1 million bail.
The woman - suffering from both schizophrenia and postpartum psychosis - said she heard voices and claimed 'the devil' made her kill her baby.
"I think she should be punished to the fullest extent of the law," father of the child Steve Buchholz - who also suffers from schizophrenia - told US media. "That's what I think should happen. She killed my son; she should burn in hell."
Sanchez had separated from Buchholz about a week before the toddler's death and was living with her mother and sister, who were helping to care for the baby.
Bucholz, who was worried for his son's safety, had been trying to arrange custody at the time of the child's murder.

She's obviously insane. They didn't even execute insane people in the Dark Ages - but in Texas she will be executed. She's nuts, guys. Sick in the head - doesn't know what she's doing.

I simply can not believe that there are people like this walking around, breathing the same air as any of us. What kind of hell must this infant gone through before the sweet piece of death finally took him? The one one person who was to protect him, care for him, and love him...to be he one who would do such vile and evil things. I can't help but believe that hell is much hotter for those who harm such purity as a new born infant.

In this warped society in which we live, it is interesting to see how this woman is called satanic, crazy, evil, mad, etc. This same woman, however, if she had decided to abort the very same baby say 5 or 6 months earlier, everyone would have thought she was normal, okay, a wonderful mum with a "right to choose" and so on.
I abhor all kinds of acts of murder, particularly towards those humans who are the most defenceless and innocent. Therefore I cannot possibly understand or condone a "civilisation" that is so hypocritical that on one hand accepts an abortion of a baby as okay, and a killing of a baby only a few months later, after it is born, as terrible. What an abomination a society that twists truths and laws to suit their selfish ways. And please don't insult my intelligence by telling me that that was not the same human being if its mother had decided to "get rid of it" at say four or five months of pregnancy.Pro-choicers and media alike should know that just because they make the most noise, does not mean they are right! Thankfully I think with my own head and do not allow myself to get brainwashed by mainstream propaganda, ignorance and stupidity

This woman (if you can call her that) should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There is a condition whereby people who are feeling extremely sorry for themselves will go to such lengths to get attention. Some make their babies sick with medication etc, however this woman has gone way beyong that. I can hear her now "oh poor me, my boyfriend left". Well attention is what she has received and some pity too by the looks of it. Just give her the capital punishment she deserves and be done with it. MAY THIS INNOCENT BABY'S SOUL REST IN PEACE
