Travis Tuck overdoses on GHB

Drug Foundation: GHB's high 'overdose rate' and is hard to get
Talkback callers the 'three strike' policy
REPORT: Hawthorn's Travis Tuck had an apparent drug overdose on Friday night.
It's believed Tuck, son of AFL Legend Michael Tuck, ingested the drug GHB, is also known among drug-takers as GBH (grievous bodily harm) for its high overdose rate.
Police have told the Neil Mitchell program Tuck will not be charged with any offences.
Tuck was found by police unconscious in his car in Berwick beside a hotel and was taken by ambulance to a nearby by hospital.
The 22-year-old was left out of the Hawk's VFL affiliate Box Hill on the weekend.
Hawthorn chief executive Stuart Fox said Tuck's health was the club's main focus.
"The player was discharged from hospital into the care of his family following an incident in the early hours of Saturday morning," said Fox. "The club and the player’s family will continue to support the player to ensure his personal health and welfare is secured."
Tuck's teammates were informed last night that one of their number was being treated for an illicit drug problem.
His drug overdose came the night after Ben Cousins' explosive documentary, Such Is Life, highlighted how AFL players can be lured into the world of illegal drugs.
One thing is becoming apparent, if young people want to get their hands on illegal drugs it's not that hard .. so how can this issue really be attacked?
Is it the law-makers? The police? It's certainly a tough issue for many families across Australia right now.
