'Bill shock' measures

Phone and internet companies will be banned from using the words "cap" and "unlimited" in their plans offered to customers.

A report has also recommended a supermarket style unit pricing as well as other measures to prevent "bill shock".

Chris Chapman from the Australian Communications and Media Authority says there's been a huge jump in complaints made by unhappy telco customers.

Meanwhile, The World Health Organisation says mobile phone users may be at increased risk of brain cancer.

A new study has found mobile phones have the same amount of potential cancer causing agents as pesticides and engine exhaust.

However Chris Althouse from the Telecommunications Association says that doesn't mean they automatically cause cancer.
