'Penny Wong for PM'
An Opposition Senator has been accused of being sexist, after "meowing" at Finance Minister Penny Wong.
Liberal Senator David Bushby made the noise during a heated Senate Estimates hearing in Federal Parliament, but has since apologised.
The Government has accused the Opposition of being "feral" but fellow Liberal Senator George Brandis says Senator Wong was enflaming the situation.

Minister Wong, whatever diversity you bring to the Australian community is fine my me. But your performance as a Minister is just downright woeful. I judge you only on that. As a Minister you are a disgrace, but on a par with the entire Federal cabinet let by an even bigger disgrace, Gillard. Is the opposition front bench any better? Who knows, but probably no worse. I would be prepared to risk a change!

We live in a world of political correctness, spin, appearances and perceptions. At the same time we have illness, poor service, self-interest and war. If our politicians paid out as much in dollars as they do in spin and word games the world would be a far better place. If the worst that Penny Wong experiences is an ambiguous miaow then she has indeed led a charmed life. Get over it media, she has.
