Ex-Magpies coach reflects
Mick Malthouse had reinforced his declaration he will not coach football again and has fired a thinly-veiled broadside at Collingwood President Eddie McGuire.
Malthouse hit back at McGuire's claims he had 'hit the wall physically and emotionally' by saying 'it's not right'.
The former Magpies coach, who confirmed publicly on Saturday he would leave the club and reject the offer to stay on as a coaching director under Nathan Buckley, also admitted he was disappointed club captain Nick Maxwell knew he was leaving six weeks ago.
Former Western Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade, who Neil Mitchell reported weeks ago was in discussion with the Magpies, is set to fill that void.
Listen to the interview here uncut.
What are your thoughts on how Malthouse left the Pies?

Eddie McGuire has/will stuff Collingwood, they had a champion coach but he wanted a poser in Buckley.I feel sorry for Mick Malthouse and Collingwood.

Andrew Demetriou, You owe every grand final ticket holder a refund for the cost of the entertainment value of that ticket. What a disgrace, you should hang your head in total shame. Meatloaf has had a shocking singing voice for quite some time now.Did this small detail pass you by? I HOPE YOU GET YOUR ASS KICKED!!

What sort of new meaning does football clubs give to the words loyalty integrity, honesty, decency and compassion. The AFL will tell you how they are very mindful of keeping the game for all the people, then who amongst us can live a good life devoid of the true meaning of those words. What an artificial and temporary world you are AFL.

So much for Eddie and the rest of them, they are the ones who lost the grandfinal, not Malthouse not the team players. It was undermined by the bickering of the club management time to get rid of the real problems with Eddie on top of the list.
