Majak Daw's brave and important interview on 3AW

North Melbourne rookie Majak Daw says he was tempted to jump the fence after he was racially abused during a VFL match at the weekend.

The 20-year-old Sudanese-born player was on the field for Werribee when a male spectator abused him.

Daw told 3AW's Neil Mitchell he was shocked and had to hold himself back from retaliating.

Daw has lived in Australia for eight years after his parents fled war-torn Sudan.

The male spectator was ejected from the Port Melbourne ground by police at halftime and the VFL is considering further sanctions against him.

  • Milking that one for all that it's worth hey Neil. No difference between AFL and days of our lives these days. Why should Racism be magnified 100 times just because of some name calling in that stupid game that never make headlines anywhere else in the world but here. I guess Racism was never such a big issue until it discovered the AFL. Is this all part of the deal at 3aw to shove anything AFL down people's throat?
