  • Mick, hate to be the one to break it to you but he is just a footballer, no-one who deserves special treatment. And you wonder why the young footballers grow up thinking that they can do what they like without the regular repercussions.

  • People should realise that breaking the law will more than likely affect their lives later on in life. He should of thought about it at the time. They still think that they are above the law, well sucked in I say he had a choice at the time to do it or not. The yanks don't stuff around with criminals and that is what he is even if he is a sports person. Does this Malthouse person think he is someone?

  • Can't agree with Malthouse, the man committed a very violent crime. Can't expect USA to make exception of him just because he plays sport.

  • Hey Mick and Neil, IT IS THEIR LAW NOT TO ALLOW PEOPLE WITH CONVICTIONS FOR CERTAIN CRIMES IN. Do you remember the Judge did not convict Matthew Newton when he was convicted of hitting Brook Satchwell because it might provent him working in the US. Maybe people need to realise that actions have far reaching impacts and it could be worth considering here in Australia rather than swinging and blowing in the breeze over who we let in! Also it might be more of a deterant if people realise if they have a conviction they cannot travel!
