Hinch gives murderer a call in cell
I want to go back to the case of Mehmet Ince. Remember him?
He's the killer who shot a young man dead. Told his victim's mum to 'get over it'. He's in a Detention centre awaiting deportation. Still. He has been there for more than a year.
Ince came here from Turkey in 1995 and in the next two years committed more than 30 crimes. In 1997 he brutally shot dead Melbourne plumber Ian Broadbent in a road rage incident and he was jailed for 10 years.
His visa was cancelled. An appeal failed. And when he was released from jail in November 2008 he was placed in the Maribrynong Detention Centre to be deported. As I said… he’s still here.
Not only still here but last September was released on a four-hour home visit to have lunch with his Mum in Flemington.
All of this gives credibility to a source who tells me Ince has been told by the people inside Immigration Minister Chris Evans's office not to worry about media attacks and assured him he has at least half a dozen more avenues of appeal. Funded by the taxpayer of course.
We were told earlier this month that Ince had been transferred to Perth but I don't think that's true. He reportedly has an iPhone, among other privileges.
So let's hit the phone and see if I can talk to him...
Still no movement on Ince case?
You may remember Heather. She is the mother of Ian Broadbent, a plumber
killed by Turkish man Mehmet Ince. In a state of near uncontollable
anger and grief she told Hinch on air in 2009 she wants to kill the man
who shot her son dead. Click the image for where the case has gone
since and below for last year's story.

What a joke as if we did'nt know that was mehmet on the other end of the phone.Does this scumbag actually realizes the damage he has really caused to the families. He talks about his illness,he was taught to act crazy so every time he got caught he got away with it.When families & friends talk about Ian they laugh & they cry(alot),they have not forgotten or forgiven .Why is that mehmet does not want to go back to turkey,is it because he knows he cannot committ the crimes in turkey like in australia. When he gets caught here he always said i;m sick. When someones is sick i was under the impression they did not know they were sick but scumbag mehmet always knew when he was sick & still using the same excuse.Mehmet you have caused alot of people to become very unstable due to your reckless actions that night. If you were a real man you didn't need to use a gun.The only way to describe you is a selfcentered theiving, murdering lowlife.

Our hearts and sympathies go out to Ian Broadbent's mother Heather. It is a terrible tragedy for the family and a travesty that justice has still not been done to Ian and his family. This causes them only added pain and grief and most mothers can totally empathise with her anger and her comments on air. Our legal system is unfortunately stacked against victims of crime. All the understanding and resources are directed to assist criminals and juvenile delinquents, who have graduated from severe school bullying. I hope Australia deports this murderer without further delay. Since Peter Beattie disbanded our Victims of Crime Advocacy (VOCA) on a pretext, we have been without independent advocacy for all victims of crime. I believe Queensland is the only state without a VOCA and government often wrongly refers victims of crime to the Queensland Homicide Support Group, knowing full well they are only funded to support the families of homicide victims (not that anyone would begrudge them that little bit of funding they actually do get). I believe an independent VOCA for all victims of crime in every state is urgently required. We have made our very own personal experiences with justice Oz style as detailed in my citizen journalist articles and on Radio 4BC: https://publish.indymedia.org.uk/media/2009/08/435571.mp3 Attorney General Dick Stonewalls On Boy's Judicial Abuse Complaint

It seems to me Chris Evans is lying. Blatantly lying. Not only to the family of the murdered man but to the Media, journalists and the people.
He must be sacked. Simple. He is unfit to hold a position as Minister and more importantly as a Member of Parliament.Paddy Tuesday 2 February, 2010 - 10:01 AM -
derryn, you are a true hero mate, i am sick and tired of the laws and foolish ducking of the police, government and media, it must stop. murders with iphones, criminals on the run, drugs rulling the state, i can go on, police are more interested in booking you for traveling 5km over the speed limit. brumby yor gone mate.
