It's 'Fame Fame Fame' for Hinch

REPORT: It was Derryn Hinch's night at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards on Saturday night in a packed Crown Palladium.
The 3AW Drive host was inducted into the ACRA Hall Of Fame, an honour he had no idea was going to be bestowed upon him prior to the evening.
An emotional Hinch paid tribute to his wife Chanel, producers Shannon Reid and Larisa Tait and also to Fairfax Radio General Manager Graham Mott - who first worked with Hinch in 1969.
Hinch, who was recently diagnosed with liver cancer, told the room he loved working in radio and urged younger people who wanted to forge a mark in the industry to be passionate and honest.
He also joked after a highlight reel played prior to his acceptance speech that 'no-one needs to come to the funeral now'.
To top off a great night for 3AW Radio, Hinch was also awarded the prestigious 'Best Talk Host' award and Neil Mitchell's producer Justin Smith won the accolade for Best Current Affairs Producer.
