Police are hunting a gun-wielding bandit who held up the Westside Hotel in Laverton.

Emergency services were called to the pub on Fitzgerald Road just after 11 this morning.

The man, who was armed with a firearm, stole a large amount of cash and two guns from the security guards.

He then forced the two guards to the ground before making his getaway on a motorbike.
