Police save man from burning house
Two police officers have saved a man who was asleep in his Reservoir unit on Wednesday morning as it burned around him.
Police also woke a family of four living next door, managing to evacuate the couple and their two children.
The constables were patrolling when they noticed smoke pouring from the unit on Henty Street.
Commander Will Glen from the Metropolitan Fire Brigade says the man was extremely lucky.

Explosion heard before blaze
UPDATE: An elderly woman is being treated for smoke inhalation after being pulled from her burning home at Rosanna. The MFB believes a leaking LPG gas cylinder started the blaze. Click on the image on the right for more details and images.
