Some customers double charged by Commonwealth Bank

Commonwealth Bank has been charging some Mastercard credit and debit holders double on various transactions.

STATEMENT FROM COMM BANK PROVIDED TO THE NEIL MITCHELL PROGRAM:

We are aware that some customers may be seeing duplicate transactions on their MasterCard credit and debit cards for purchases they made on Saturday.

This issue only appears to affect some customers.

We are working to resolve this issue and reverse the impacted transactions as a matter of priority and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

CONFIRMED - @commbank has been charging some Mastercard credit and debit holders double on various transactions.

Have called comm bank twice .. Both times sorry can't help you, don't know when it will be returned to you.. Just a waiting game now.. Dont seem to really care at all that they have taken $700 out of my account

It is not only Mastercard but Visa cards also - obviously the issue is much bigger than they are saying. What is happening it is now Wednesday and we still have not received out refunds???????????
