Some police fight for beards?
Police Chief Commissioner Ken Lay is facing a minor rebellion to his push for a clean-cut image for the force.
The vast majority of the 11,000 strong force - and its union - are backing the new ban on facial hair, ponytails and some make-up.
But Bruce McKenzie from the Police Association says a small number of officers are complaining to the Human Rights Commission about new rules.
What's your opinion?

If this makes Greg Davies get rid of his ridiculous mo then it maybe it is OK but I reaaly think this is just the "boys club" being reinstated.

I can't believe a natural body feature like a beard is being outlawed because of some ancient social moray. How about if the reverse was true - people were NOT allowed to shave because it's unnatural? Doesn't that make more sense? No it doesn't - no more sense than forcing people to shave in the first place.

If they want to look like trash, let them leave and go work at Crown or some dodgy night club in the city. We want our cops to look like the good guys not the bad guys. The force would be better off witout the troublesome 3%, perhaps they have done force comand a favor by standing up and waving.

I dont care if they tatto every inch of their body and have piercings all over as long as they are fit can run marathons and smarter than the crims and catch the real crims not their offsiders.
