Suspended penalties for group sex pair
Two youths have received suspended sentences for filming the group sex they had with a 14-year-old girl they met on Facebook.
Sentencing 19-year-olds Neil Raymond Clark of Hastings and Cribb Point man Waide Symes, County Court Judge Paul Lacava said it wasn't a case where a man was infatuated with a young girl in the course of a relationship which turned sexual; instead they used their 14-year-old victim as an object to take advantage for their own sexual pleasure.
The court heard the pair and another person awaiting sentence in the Children's Court had group sex with a 14-year-old girl which was filmed on a mobile phone. Symes also molested two other girls.
Clark, who pleaded guilty to four charges, and Symes, who pleaded guilty to seven, received two-year suspended sentences and were ordered to do 200 hours and 300 hours of unpaid community work respectively.
The judge said they were remoseful and it was in the community interest they be given the chance to rehabilitate.
The judge also said the prosecutor submitted a suspended sentence was within the range.

to the other anonymous person. Im bestfriends with the victim. they were preying on her for months before she finally said yes to them, so no, she didnt make the first move. and the only reputation she has got is being called a slut because of what these boys have done to her. she has been through hell and back because of this. yes you are intitaled to your opinions but you dont know her.

Anonymous - a "reputation"? Do we still talk in sexist, double standard terms in 2012? I find it amazing that there are still people out there who think that sexual responsibility rests with the women - or in this case a 14 year old girl!

The law is the law. You break it you pay for it. What a releif for once one of these girls has actually stood up to these guys after being preyed on through facebook, then sweet talked into the bedroom to only wake up the next day red faced and realising you've been used. She probably wasnt the first and she defiantly wont be the last. Maybe ok if your of the same age, then you can say the girl should have known better. But regardless of any other factor in this case, a pair of 19 year olds with a third 17 year old went after a girl, any girl they could talk thier way into, to subject her to what they though would be funny for their own pleasure. ANY male thinking its okay to all have a go at single 13,14,15,16 any age year old girl.. and to then film it, Is down right discusting and their veiw on women, very very warped. To what they were thinking that moment is sick. Responsibility lies with the older males to know that it was not the right thing to do, and I'd hope society brought up our youth better than this to let eveyone teenager who thinks doing this sort of thing is NOT OK. Remorsful they did this to their victem, Maybe (if it wasnt her it would have been someone elses daughter anyway) or remorsful to the fact they got caught?

If you knew the girl at all, you would know she has a reputation. Yes its the boys fault, im not saying they shouldn't get what they deserved, but younger and younger girls are getting more sexual as the years go past. Its not hard to change your story after the night has happened either.

Anonymous, a minor has been sexually objectified by two adults. Responsibility lies with the 19yo men. One of them is also a molester. It is irrelevant who contacted who.

All this talk, and nothing about who contacted who first. What if she made the move, sure the boys might be in the wrong, but who says their all to blame? What kind of parent doesn't monitor their 14 yo child's activity on Facebook? That could of prevented it all from happening in the first place.
