Teen stabbed in Sunbury (Yvette Gray)

The 20-year-old Sunbury man charged with murdering a teenager in Sunbury last night suffers borderline personality disorder, a court has been told.

Nathan West, 20, appeared briefly in the Melbourne Magistrates court charged with one count of murder.

West was arrested in the early hours of this morning following the stabbing death of a 17-year-old man in the driveway of a Banksia Court home at 9:30pm yesterday.

Police said the victim was stabbed in the upper body, but died at the scene despite efforts to revive him.

The court was told the accused suffers borderline personality disorder, anxiety and depression, for which he takes medication.

West showed no emotion during the brief appearance and was remanded in custody to appear in court again on 21st January.
