Why Father Bob's work is so important
Neil Mitchell chased up a difficult story after a man, known as 'Luke 827', passed away following a long battle with mental health and drugs.
Father Bob Maguire had been helping the troubled man for around 30 years and after posting this tweet - "Must be creative & innovative cut irrational collateral damage overlooked/ignored people.I warned bosses" - Neil Mitchell chatted to Father Bob.
Another important interview that, while tough to listen to, will hopefully raise awareness to the plight of so many Australians doing it tough at the moment.

At least he is now at peace. Mental illness is a horrible killer, id rather break every bone in my body than having a terrifying mental illness.

Hi Neil I attended a wedding at father bobs church on sat I got there early while I was talking to the limo driver father bob came out and asked if anyone knew CPR as a man had collapsed and an ambulance was on it's way the limo driver went to help I directed the ambulance down his driveway then went into the church just a few minutes later father bob came in and conducted the ceremony after that he disappeared out the back door of the church I guess back to see how the man was going this proves again what an amazing man father. bob is going through all that and still came in and married my friends Gary from scores by

Get over your Father Bob fetish.

Father Bob, I heard the interview and I've also heard you on numerous occasions before. I'm not Catholic (actually somewhere between C of E and Presbyterian, with a bit of Uniting thrown in), but you are what all churches need. An effective communicator with the people, who acts on behalf of those who need help. I wish there could be more of you. What your "superiors" are doing is simply wrong.

Dear Father,
I am on your side and will be for ever. Your photograph in this email is such a sad, one I know it is not easy when everything in your life seems wrong.
