Word on the Street: Speed Camera Guitarist
WORD ON THE STREET: Tom Elliott was sent this photo of a guitarist who was warning passing motorists of a mobile speed camera in Altona Meadows on Wednesday afternoon.
The friendly musician called Jack later phoned 3AW to tell Tom Elliott that Police had arrived to take his sign down.
"It was just a box that I decided to write speed camera on and I thought, well, I might get out there and play a bit of guitar," he said on 3AW.
"The police just turned up and told me to put it away and they were very nice about it."

Good on the guy...They are not speed camera's they are out right revenue camera's...
IN darwin they asked me why they hide the camera's in melbourne, they say how can it be a deterent if they are hidden..They tell you where all the camera's cars are in darwin...BUT there goverment is as corrupt or greedy as ours...I alert everyone on the road when i see a (hidden) speed cameraRobby Thursday 31 January, 2013 - 11:16 AM -

Why don't the coppers spend their time catching real traffic hoons and criminals instead of the soft targets??? Here in my town there are drunks, hoons and crooks all over the place and hardly any coppers to be seen! It beggars belief.
