Shannon Lush joins Denis Walter on the Afternoon Program fortnightly on Tuesdays at 1.35.

Shannon:  I’m an artist in the fine arts restorer in 27 different mediums, as such I use a range of tools, adhesives, solvents and techniques to restore broken artifacts. Add to this a family tradition of sharing and collecting handy hints, throwing a passion for organic chemistry, and you get a woman who can offer more solutions for stain removal than you can poke a stick at.

Need some goo removed? Shannon will have the answers!

  • hi im sue i have a son that works at the tip has these bright yellow/blue shirts comes home with stains like grease/oil/paint and cannot get them clean please help me what can i use?

  • Hi Shannon ! I have a soft brown leather jacket that had a sweat and fake tan smell in it. I tried fabreese spray under arms and hung to air . Smell remained. I then used a baking soda paste then white vinegar under the arms . These worked but have left the underarm leather hard, dull and like leather has product remaining in it despite rinsing. I have tried leather conditioner twice to restore leather to original state once jacket had dried , but to no avail! Any other ideas u could suggest?

  • I missed the ingredients used for clothes so that we don't have to iron and also regardng smelly shoes and avoid tinea.Please let me know where to get the answers from. Thanks Marie
