After listeners to Denis Walter's program alerted him a man mowing letters into a hill on the Hume Hwy, he wanted to know more.

So Denis tracked the man down and had a chat with him.

Greg Heffernan has a tax issue with the state government... So he decided to write to them.

There are farmers and smaller property owners in all the new "Growth Areas" on the suburban fringe that have had a huge tax placed on them By John Brumby. In some cases the tax exceeds the current land value.
Their land is their only Superannuation in most cases because of their age.
Its a disgrace.
I carn't see the good people of Kew or Sandringham being happy to have half of their private property being taken in a new land tax! Well thats what has happenned to these people.
