Baum Cycles
We have selected Baum Cycles as the winner for the BIG Marketing Award.
Baum Cycles is a Geelong-based specialist manufacturing business that has been custom building steel and titanium bicycles for 15 years. All processes are completed in their factory and each bicycle is designed and built to fit the customer and meet their specific requirements. Baum bikes are recognised as some of the best made in the world, and the company has a fast growing international dealer network. The company also counts a number of world champion cyclists as customers, including one local Tour de France winner. Baum Cycles employs seven people and works with three external consultants.
SBMS was impressed by this example of a proudly owned Australian manufacturing business that has a strong focus on producing a high quality, customised product for a specialty market. A great deal of attention to detail is paid to each process of the manufacturing and finishing of a Baum bike. The fact that Baum Cycles is a successful manufacturing company and is regionally based with a strong and increasing international following, was also a factor for their selection for the Small Business Success Awards.
SBMS would like to congratulate Baum Cycles on its success to date and wish them every success in the future.
