Rhonda Burchmore fights of car-jacker
Melbourne singer Rhonda Burchmore fought of a would-be car-jacker in the CBD two weeks ago.
Rhonda was stopped at the traffic lights after performing in Calendar Girls when a man opened her passenger door and climbed in the car.
She blasted the horn and screamed for help before kicking the man out of her vehicle.
She says she now "feels uneasy driving at night" and that she "never thought this would happen in Melbourne".

Everyone needs to travel safely, the police have no power thanks to the courts. We need immediate mandatory sentencing of violent offenders, we need to stop putting the perceived needs of the offenders first, it is about time that victims like Ms Burchmore are protected rather than the scumbag that assaulted her.
