Donna Demaio Gossip Sheet
Donna Demaio gets out and about a lot in Melbourne as the station's roving entertainment reporter. Here's the latest compilation of what she's learned here.
PRIZE FOR THIS WEEK'S COMPETITION (Scroll down for how to enter): Rihanna – Good Girl, Bad Girl (DVD – Shock Entertainment)
Quote of the week: "They're very canny. The only stumbling block is they didn't ask me to be in the film," jokes Shaun Micallef (Talking ‘Bout Your Generation, The Cup) about Working Dog, at the premiere of the team's new Aussie film Any Questions for Ben?
Tweet of the week: @russellcrowe Oh Sun, why have you forsaken Sydney? Do we not worship you? Do we not make melanomic sacrifice for your Glory?

Formula One GP Ambassador Kate Peck (pictured) impulsively and enthusiastically offered to go on a date with the winner (and loser) of the Media Go Kart Challenge at AusCarts in Port Melbourne, where a selection of journos took part in a rather competitive race. As the Last Place Trophy 'winner', I have every intention of following up on the offer.
"I don't know how, so I get my dad (former Premier Steve Bracks) to tie my ties," a sheepish Nick Bracks admitted. The underwear designer was sporting an unusual tie knot which had become tightly twisted after numerous wears without undoing the knot.
'The story so far' is how Shane Jacobson (Kenny, Beaconsfield) is describing his latest project; writing his memoirs. The charming actor says: "It won't be a book telling people what to do."
Jacobson was also reminiscing about his previous gig that led him to actually install the lights for the 1993 production of A Chorus Line, as he watched appreciatively the new production at Her Majesty's Theatre at the weekend.
Spotted: Josh Lawson (Any Questions for Ben?) expressing polite surprise when asked to sign a copy of the DVD of The Librarians television series.
Congratulations to comedian Jimeoin and his wife Catherine who have welcomed a baby daughter, the couple's fourth child.
Traffic alert: St Kilda Festival takes over the bayside streets this weekend, with more than 400,000 people expected to flock to the multitude of free events taking place.
Charity of the week: An absolute treat for those attending the annual Ronald McDonald House Valentine's Breakfast at the RACV club is a special performance by extraordinary singer Anthony Callea. He will perform his number one hit The Prayer. Money raised will go towards helping seriously ill children and their families.
Please email: ddemaio@3aw.com.au with the answer to THIS WEEK'S ONLINE COMPETITION (PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS): IN 20 WORDS OR LESS: What is the best Australian movie ever made and why?
