PRIZE FOR THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION (Scroll down for how to enter): Chris Isaak Beyond the Sun (New CD) and The Collected Shaun Micallef (10 DVD and 1 CD set running time 1357 minutes!)

Quote of the week: “We spotted the over-confident kids, straight away,” says an excited Rob Mills, new host of Young Talent Time. The show is expected to air Sundays early next year. But exactly how young is the youngest team member? I wonder.

“I hate shaving” says Wildboys star Dan MacPherson who is still sporting a manicured beard despite having well and truly wrapped up the first series of the show. Dan has his fingers crossed that Season 2 will get the go ahead.

Tom Wren (Dashing Dr Doug from Winners and Losers ) has put his back out helping out on the family property. The injury has also put out the filming schedule for the top rating show, with some juggling of scenes to give Wren a few days to recover. Get well soon.

Tweet of the week: @boygeorge I'm in Dublin for the day. Not impressed with the National Gallery. Nothing in it?!

Another great tweet: @phitchener9 Thanks to anyone who tuned in for our 'noons' expose! It was of course meant to be 'hoons' - thanks to my iPad for its helpful autocorrect

Whisper: Top journalist at the Emirates marquee launch at the Melbourne Town Hall testing his I-phone to see if it can record conversations while the phone is in one’s pocket.

Meanwhile Neighbours star Alan Fletcher nearly pulled a hamstring at the same marquee launch while trying to keep up with the incredible Cossack brothers who impressed with their Russian dancing.

“He’s not falling off as much” says former motorcycle champion Mick Doohan rating Casey Stoner’s chances for this weekend’s Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island.’ He wants to prove to himself that he’s better than everybody out there,’’ Doohan says.

Spotted: Former The Block contestant Josh in his ute, driving very enthusiastically along the Bolte bridge.

Revered actor David Wenham is heading to ACMI at Federation Square for the sneak peak screening of TV1 series Killing Time – the story of Andrew Fraser. Producers are only legally allowed to screen episodes 1-6 with four episodes unscheduled.
