Janet's 'slip' not forgotten
PRIZE FOR THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION (Scroll down for how to enter): A family pass to the National Gallery of Victoria Family Colour Ball ( August 13th 2011) involving costumes, dancing and music.
Quote of the week: “Watch very carefully, there might be nipples,” said the warm up guy to a nine year old boy amongst the audience at the filming of the Project Runway Australia finale at the Docklands. Wonder what the child’s parents were thinking.
Despite battling what he called a “man-flu”, front row A-lister Tim Campbell with partner Anthony Callea headed to the Project Runway filming. “A for effort” I say.
And while most were enthralled by the finalists’ fashion on the catwalk, the puzzled expressions crossing tennis ace Todd Woodbridge’s face (also a front row guest) were priceless. Some creations appeared to leave him quite perplexed.
Project Runway Australia host Megan Gale has shaken off what appeared to be initial nerves and looked relaxed and pleased, hanging out with fellow judge designer Kirrily Johnston at the after party.
And by the way, the warm-up guy was right regarding aforementioned “quote of the week’.
Spotted:A thrilled Paul Mercurio (who makes a mean salami) has his Cooking with Beer book finally coming out next month. Anyone for wheat beer icecream?. The amiable tv presenter was seen ingesting Ian Curley’s fine food at The European at a celebratory lunch for Cobram Estate Olive oil which has won a swag of international awards this year.
Shane Jacobson (Kenny) is keeping healthy as he prepares to welcome another addition to his lovely family. Yes, Shane and partner are expecting a third child in September. Congrats!
Tweet of the week: @ParisWells I WANT THE JANET JACKSON SUPPORT! I will show “Areola” to get it! Love Paris
It’s not a big role but it’s a good one” says Dancing with the stars judge Todd McKenney about joining the cast of Annie. Meantime, after just a fortnight of rehearsal McKenney is treading the boards in The Production Company’s Anything Goes this week.
Spotted: Celebrity chef Manu Feildel showcasing his newly trim torso on the dancefloor of top Perth nitespot The Manor, attracting loads of welcome attention by wearing a completely unbuttoned shirt.
L’Oreal Paris has decided on a new “face” and will reveal all on August 4th. Sure to be a gorgeous individual but will it be an Aussie or overseas beauty?
Please email: ddemaio@3aw.com.au with the answer to THIS WEEK’S ONLINE COMPETITION( PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS): IN 20 WORDS OR LESS: Who is/was the best live act and why?

Frankly i have no interest in the inconsequential issues media is FORCED to produce as a result of the most base and destructive needs of the minority in our civilisation. Not that I donâ??t find sex and sexuality entertaining just that it seems pathetic to reduce this facility to a financial vehicle. Without going into the indisputable evidence of her brothers child abuse perhaps we should consider why Janet also chooses to abuse the legitimate media with latent abusive sexual content. If she wants to generate capital through sex then she should peruse that path through the porn industry. Dont try to denigrate the legitimate media as a means for you to create capital. Obviously the time when you had the ability to generate revenue through your vocal talent has passed. Obviously the time for you to generate revenue from your beauty has passed. Your future is obviously best suited to the porn industry. Perhaps Janet does the media is a good title. For a couple of years you may be the next big thing. Perhaps if you combine the resources generated through this facility with the rest of your dysfunctional, estranged, bizarre, deviant and flaky family you can restore a perception other than disbelief, disgrace, horror, antipathy, nauseate and distain. But I donâ??t think so. Dont show us your tips Janet. Show us your back.
